Showing up, even despite personal stress and difficulties, is what makes Rebecca Salsbury stand out. As a rising star in the legal field, Salsbury has made a particular name for herself through women’s equality advocacy work.
As a student, she was an active member of the Women’s Law Center of Maryland, and after graduating, was asked to stay on as a full board member.
She also serves as a mentor for the Enterprise Women’s Network. Despite recently going through major multiple surgeries, she continued to be active in her volunteer work.
“Being able to look past your own life stress and show up for someone else is not something others are willing to do,” said Tina Hike-Hubbard, senior director of education for Enterprise Community Partners, Inc. “Rebecca’s mother struggled with an illness and then passed away during our program. Rebecca still made herself available to her mentee. During these stressful times, she remained steadfast to her mentee and to our program. I admire her for her willingness to look past herself to support this community that she loves.”
