The Y in Central Maryland added to its management team with the promotion of Ryan Gadow to senior vice president of membership experience and the appointment of Tracie Lefevre as executive director of early childhood development.
In his new role, Gadow is responsible for the membership experience strategy delivered at all Y centers across central Maryland. He has spent the past 20 years of his career at the Y, building significant operational, membership, fundraising and program experience. He has worked in several Y markets, including Raleigh, North Carolina and in Florida in the Clearwater and Tampa markets. Before joining the Y in Central Maryland, he spent seven years in the Valley of Sun YMCA (Phoenix, Arizona), last serving as senior executive and association director of membership where he was responsible for a $22 million association membership budget. Gadow has a bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University and holds several YUSA leadership certifications.
Lefevre is responsible for the leading the strategy and operations for early childhood development programs across the Y, including Y Preschool and Head Start. She brings more than 20 years of nonprofit development and education experience to her role at the Y. She spent the past six years at Teach For America Baltimore as a member of the regional leadership team, where she raised $7 million in annual revenue and managed a network strategy of more than 1,100 teachers and alumni. Prior to joining Teach For America, she spent time at Catholic Charities, and as instructor at Johns Hopkins School of Education and the Baltimore County Public School System. Lefevere has a bachelor’s degree from Guilford College and a Master of Arts in education from Towson University.
