Top 100 Women honorees announced

Award celebration event to be held April 15

 The Daily Record has announced the honorees of its 2019 Maryland’s Top 100 Women awards.

Maryland’s Top 100 Women recognizes outstanding achievements of women through professional accomplishments, community leadership and mentoring. Honorees were selected by a panel of business professionals and previous Top 100 Women honorees.

Nominees were asked to complete an application with their educational and career history, professional and community involvement, corporate and nonprofit board memberships and mentoring experience. They were encouraged to submit letters of recommendation too.

Five women will be inducted into the Circle of Excellence having received the award for a third and final time. This year’s members are: Carol Beatty, state of Maryland; Lorece Edwards, Morgan State University; MaryBeth Hyland, SparkVision; Michelle Siri, The Women’s Law Center of Maryland; and Dana Weckesser, Global Health Partnerships Consulting.

“This year’s Maryland’s Top 100 Women are leading companies, charting new territory and inspiring the next generation. They are truly outstanding role models for all of us,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record. “They show compassion and commitment to help others and to shape their communities. The Daily Record is honored to recognize their many achievements.”

The Daily Record started Maryland’s Top 100 Women in 1996. In 24 years, The Daily Record has honored more than 1,600 Top 100 Women.

The honorees will be celebrated Monday, April 15, at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore. They will also be profiled in a special section that will be inserted into the April 16 issue of The Daily Record and available online at www.TheDailyRecord.com.
