DeVito will provide strategic counsel and manage the company’s legal matters for its growing portfolio of 20 properties, including the newly renovated The Shops at Kenilworth, the expansion at Waugh Chapel Towne Centre, and the new $350 million Towson Row project.
DeVito has more than two decades of experience practicing real estate law. He previously was a principal with Washington-based Stone Mattheis Xenopoulos & Brew PC, where he specialized in real estate development and land use law. Prior to that, he was vice president and general counsel for Ribera Development LLC, a real estate development company in Annapolis.
DeVito is a certified public accountant and a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia bars. He received his undergraduate degree in accounting from Ohio State University and his law degree from the University of Maryland.
As a volunteer, DeVito serves as chairman of the board of directors of the Monarch Academy Public Charter School, vice chairman of the board of directors of the Anne Arundel County Economic Development Corporation and has previously participated on numerous boards and commissions in the advancement of government practices and land use.
