More than 600 guests were treated to a night of fine wine and cuisine at Penn-Mar Human Services’ 27th annual Black Tie Gala March 2 at Delta Hotels by Marriott in Hunt Valley.

The theme of the evening’s fundraising event was “Passport to the World, A Perfect Pairing of Fine Wine and Cuisine,” which raised more than $700,000 to expand and maintain Penn-Mar’s myriad services for Pennsylvania and Maryland residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Guests enjoyed crafted cocktails and a silent auction before dining on a gourmet multi-course dinner with hand-selected wine pairings from world-famous wine valleys. The evening’s entertainment also included live music and dancing.

News anchor Mary Bubala of WJZ-TV was the emcee for the evening, which saw the presentation of the 2019 Distinguished Humanitarian Award to longtime Pen-Mar supporters Tony and Stef Campisi.

Wendy Gallo served as the chair of the gala and Stephanie Aspey was the auction chair.
