University of Maryland Capital Region Health
Dr. Sherry B. Perkins was appointed president and CEO of the University of Maryland Capital Region Health in 2016. She is an accomplished clinician and executive with a keen focus on patient care, quality and safety.

Safety, quality, patient experience and clinical excellence — delivered through a strong collaboration between community and faculty physicians, nurses, and every member of our team from the front doors of our practices to the patient floor — are what will make the difference in the near and long term,” Perkins said in a statement when she was appointed.
Prior to her appointment as president and CEO, Perkins held executive leadership roles with the Anne Arundel Health System. From 1991 to 2006, she worked as a clinical leader with the University of Maryland Medical Center.
