Chairman of Americas Research, Senior Economic Advisor
Spencer Levy oversees research within the CBRE Americas region, managing hundreds of people who produce market insights and interpretive analysis about research trends.
He is also the lead CBRE spokesperson for real estate issues in the Americas region and has provided market commentary for national television, newspaper and internet outlets. He also speaks to industry groups such as NAIOP, ICSC and CREW.
Before joining CBRE as executive managing director of the capital markets division in 2007, Levy was a principal at Stifel Nicolaus (formerly Legg Mason Capital Markets), an investment bank serving the real estate industry, and previously was assistant general counsel at Witkoff Group and an attorney at Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson and Jones Day Revis & Pogue.
In 2010, he won CBRE’s Gary J. Beban Teamwork Award, which acknowledges professionals who take a multi-disciplinary approach to client service. He also serves on the CBRE Global Leadership Council.
In 2015, he was awarded the Trammel Crow Master Builder Award for Excellence in Leadership, and in 2016, he was recognized with the CoreNet Luminary Award for Excellence in Public Speaking.
