Irving E. Walker, head of the Baltimore office of Cole Schotz P.C., was recognized by Global M&A Network’s Turnaround Atlas Awards as the mid-market 2019 USA Restructuring Lawyer of the Year, the first time a lawyer from Baltimore has received this award.
Well-known in the Baltimore area for his nearly four decades of transaction work, Walker has represented debtors, creditors’ committees, trustees, and other interested parties in bankruptcy cases, out-of-court restructurings, and litigation arising out of distressed or failed businesses. His litigation experience includes precedent-setting cases at the trial and appellate court levels, including the U.S. Supreme Court.
The distinction honors professionals from the restructuring industries for their record of executing transactions of behalf of the clients.
