A Columbia maker of design and building information modeling software has been selected as a finalist in an online community of architects’ product awards.

Vectorworks Inc.’s software, Vectorworks Architect 2019, is one of four contenders in the 2019 Architizer A+ Awards in the design tools – apps and digital tools category, competing for a jury Award and a popular choice award, the company announced.

Jeremy Powell, vice president of marketing at Vectorworks, said in a news release that Vectorworks Architect 2019 was made with a focus on increasing design efficiency and that being selected as a finalist is an accomplishment.

The jury awards are judged by a jury that includes architects Denise Scott Brown and Tom Kundig, and others such as Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos. The popular choice award is chosen through online voting.
