Matthew West, David Fraser and John F. Simanski have joined the Baltimore office of Franklin & Prokopik.
West joined the Baltimore office as a workers’ compensation associate. The first attorney in his family, West entered law school with a passion for litigation. While in law school, he scored a top spot in the Byron Warnken Moot Court Competition and went on to compete on the University of Baltimore’s Family Law Moot Court team. He also completed 40 hours of mediation training, learning how to effectively work with clients of all backgrounds. Outside of the classroom, he diversified his resume by working in a variety of different areas of law, ranging from trust and estate law to personal injury, to family law. By the time he graduated law school, West had already submitted an appellate brief to the Florida Fourth District Court of Appeal and a written closing argument to the Baltimore City Circuit Court, both securing favorable outcomes for his firms’ clients.

Upon graduation, Fraser was awarded the Dean’s Citation for outstanding service to the University of Baltimore School of Law.
