A Nottingham cybersecurity firm received recognition from a parent community for its service that protects the identities of children.

Sontiq Inc. received the Parent Tested Parent Approved Seal of Approval from PTPA Media Inc. for its IdentityForce product.

The product, which Sontiq acquired earlier this year when it EZShield combined with IdentityForce under a new name, received the recognition for the sixth straight year.

IdentityForce offers identity and fraud monitoring and checks social media for impersonations, signs of account hacking and other inappropriate activity and sends alerts and messages to parents. It also offers managed restoration services to restore an identity after a theft.

Donna Parent, chief marketing officer at Sontiq, said in a news release that children’s information is sold on the dark web for hundreds of dollars.
