An Ellicott City signal processing technology company has released the first version of its automatic image enhancement technology.

Digital Harmonic LLC’s PurePixel offering lets users enhance data quality in images, video and streams. The technology performs automatic recognition and programmatic manipulation of pixels to correct and amplify detail, enhance contrast, and reduce noise.

PurePixel can stream or store the adjusted information and can work on a variety of image recognition systems. The technology can raise the object detection and classification of image recognition systems, according to Digital Harmonic.

Scott Haiges, CEO of Digital Harmonic, said in a news release the technology programmatically increases the quality and usability of images, videos and streams.
