President and CEO
Dale Dabbs had worked for a half-dozen companies over 30 years when, in 2010, he took over as president and CEO of EZShield, a digital identity protection company.
Since then, his Baltimore County-based company has acquired another identity security company, IdentityForce Inc., rebranded itself as Sontiq and more than tripled its net income and client base.
“I have a proven record of delivering measurable and significant revenue growth and shareholder value as well as driving organizational change by building strong executive leadership teams,” Dabbs said.
His leadership style, Dabbs said, begins with a strong belief in his executive team.
“I have built a team enabled to drive innovation and focus on initiatives that will truly reduce the financial and emotional costs related to identity crime,” he said.
“I know that effective leadership requires a combination of concise decision-making skills, collaborative teamwork and a strong company culture to achieve our goals.”
Dabbs is passionate not only about information security and his own company, but about the greater Baltimore area as well.
He is a member of the Greater Baltimore Committee, the Better Business Bureau and the Cyber Association of Maryland Inc.
Angie Barnett, president and CEO of the Better Business Bureau of Great Maryland, praised Dabbs as a “strong leader who believes in his leadership team and empowers his team to drive innovation.”
Dabbs is an active member of the Maryland business community, she said, who encourages his employees to be involved in community organizations and initiatives.
