Vice President of Marketing
Jody Costa was part of the team in 2018 that transformed the 20-year-old visual identity of Barcoding, Inc., a supply chain automation and innovation company. Following months of research, relationship-building and collaboration, the new brand was successfully launched at Barcoding’s Kickoff Conference 2019, followed by its introduction into a new Canadian operation.
Costa said she focuses on creating a collaborative work culture and mentoring new employees. She has also led the company’s corporate social responsibility initiatives across the country since joining Barcoding. In 2018, she established a women’s leadership group and launched the company’s first Women in Supply Chain luncheon to bring women from the industry together. “I believe that if you are given a microphone or have a platform of influence, always use it to lift someone else up,” she said.
In addition, Costa currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Kendall Burrows Foundation, seeking to advocate, educate and contribute to research for Evan’s Syndrome and similar autoimmune blood disorders. She has also previously volunteered her time on the boards of Fuel Fund of Maryland, The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, and AgGateway Corporation.
