Impact Hub Baltimore
Michelle Geiss believes that Baltimore “is home to some of the most visionary thought leaders in the world.”
As co-founder and executive director of Impact Hub Baltimore, a 4-year-old organization that describes itself as part innovation lab, part co-working space and part civic forum for entrepreneurs and innovators, she has helped many of those thought leaders succeed.
“I have grown a community of visionary entrepreneurs from a 100-person monthly breakfast with a shoestring budget, to a buzzing community of hundreds of leaders transforming the city in unimaginable and inspiring ways,” Geiss said. “This community has been a life-changing force for the hundreds of people who have been involved and a true asset to the city of Baltimore.”
Brendan Schreiber, founder and president of Schreiber Brothers Development, said in the three years he has known Geiss, he has watched her grow “from the leader of a rag-tag cohort of mission-driven nonprofits and startups, into the unsung hub of Baltimore’s social consciousness.
Her role in Baltimore city, while certainly unsung, has had impacts that have quietly rippled through the fabric of our entire city.”
