Senior Vice President for Government Affairs and Policy
Maryland Hospital Association
As the senior vice president for government affairs and policy for the Maryland Hospital Association, the trade association for the state’s 62 hospitals and health systems, Nicole Stallings is responsible for representing the association’s interests in Annapolis.
Stallings said her experience and reputation put her in a position to be an effective advocate.
“In the world of state politics, where it can be difficult to know who is giving you a straight answer, I’m known as a trusted and knowledgeable source,” Stallings said. “In Annapolis, I have earned a reputation as a collaborator and a dedicated, passionate champion for Maryland’s hospitals and health care delivery system.”
Prior to joining the MHA in 2012, Stallings served as senior policy adviser to the secretary of the Maryland Department of Health and the director of the Maryland Health Quality and Cost Council.
“I have spent every day of my professional career in service,” Stallings said. “I have vehemently supported hospitals and health systems in order to improve the health of our communities and our underserved populations.”
