Principal Attorney

Offit Kurman P.A.

Offit Kurman P.A. Principal Pilar Camus Nichols divides her time between her family, the courtroom, the classroom and helping the Hispanic community.

Nichols became managing partner at Tomes, Salter, Nichols & Gomez LLC before age 40, a proud feat because she did it while committing time to her young sons and while mentoring young Hispanic attorneys and supporting the Latino community.

“I am committed to the outreach of immigrant families so that they can move forward with their dreams and set up their children for success, allowing them to focus on their studies and not the adult issues of the household,” Nichols wrote.

She is an adjunct professor at The Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law, where she earned a Juris doctor in 2005. She received a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University.

Nichols began her legal career as a Prince George’s County assistant state’s attorney. She worked briefly as an associate attorney at a private practice before opening her own firm in 2008. As a mentor, she helps young attorneys open their own firms and young Hispanic attorneys improve their practices.
