Potter Burnett Law LLC

burnett-suzanne-3Three years ago, Suzanne Burnett created the plaintiffs’ personal injury law firm Potter Burnett Law with partners Deborah Potter, her mentor, and Andrew Burnett, her husband. Their mission is supporting negligence victims against insurance companies.

“We have more than tripled in size,” said the 34-year-old Burnett, whose practice primarily involves car crash and nursing home abuse and neglect cases, and premises liability. “We fight for victims from all walks of life and are proud to be advocates and voices for the voiceless in the intimidating and complex legal system. I am proud of my work and I feel that I am helping others as I seek justice.”

Burnett has been a member of the Anne Arundel Bar Association since 2010 and on its board of trustees since 2013. She is currently its secretary.

Burnett also created and operates the law clerk program at her law firm, handling interviews, hiring and training. She has mentored four clerks in the past three years.

“The program has been valuable to the law clerks and the firm and has given me the opportunity to give back to the students,” she said.
