Keisha Sitney was promoted to chief people officer with the Y in Central Maryland to lead the organization’s human resources and learning functions.
Since joining the Y in October 2018 as executive director of learning and development, Sitney has developed and launched key programs to increase efficiency and improve performance across the organization, including a new supervisory training program and a reinvented performance management approach.
Sitney is a Y veteran with more than 29 years of experience, with several years spent in operations at the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington, where she rose to a district executive level with responsibility for multiple Y’s and program areas. Most recently, Sitney worked for the Y-USA where she helped develop and lead a range of learning, leadership development, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
