More than 175 business leaders gathered at the historic Parkway Theatre Oct. 24 for SHIFT U: Complicated Conversations, an annual event hosted by SHIFT Society, the exclusive membership group within SHIFT, a management consulting firm.
Richard Saul Wurman, creator of TED, was the keynote speaker, and discussions were moderated by Joe Mechlinski, CEO and founder of SHIFT. During networking breaks, guests had the opportunity to sample local wellness services such as massages, red-light therapy, and acupuncture. Guests also heard from inspirational speakers including Chris Wilson, author of “The Master Plan;” Lola Manekin, founder of The Movement Lab; and Steven Kotler, a New York Times bestselling author and executive director of the Flow Research Collective, who also led a session on flow state training the following day.
