Stephanie Refo, Amanda Good, Kalya Sankaranarayanan and Martha Leach | UHY

National CPA firm UHY LLP promoted Stephanie Refo to principal, Amanda Good and Kalya Sankaranarayanan to manager and Martha Leach to office manager.

refo-stephanie-uhyRefo has more than 10 years of experience providing auditing and tax services to Common Interest Realty Associations and real estate companies from the company’s Columbia office. She consults with clients about new accounting treatments and different tax treatments available for CIRAs and assesses internal controls of associations and management companies. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

good-amanda-uhyGood provides attestation and assurance services to companies, focusing on nonprofits, construction and distribution companies. She assists nonprofits with their first and annual preparations of IRS Forms 990, 990-T, and applicable state tax returns and charitable registrations, conducts compliance testing for Single Audits under OMB Uniform Guidance, and carries out review and compilation services. She also performs audits of employee benefit plans.

sankaranarayanan-kalya-uhySankaranarayanan performs audits of employee benefit plans, including defined benefit, defined contribution, 403(b), ESOPs and health and welfare plans. She works on a variety of clients, including nonprofits, country clubs, and clients in the manufacturing, trading and auto dealership industries. Prior to joining UHY in 2018, she worked for two firms in India, including a big four firm. Previously, Sankaranarayanan spent time with the company as senior staff accountant, she was an audit senior assistant with Deloitte India Pvt. Ltd. and an auditor with N C Rajagopal & Co.

leach-martha-uhyLeach has been a member of the administrative team in various roles for more than eight years. She supervises the administrative staff that supports more than 50 professionals in the Columbia office. When not at work, she is busy as a Maryland State Licensed Master Wildlife Rehabilitator, is on the board of directors and serves as vice president of the Maryland Wildlife Rehabilitators Association.
