2020 Leadership in Law honorees announced

The Daily Record has announced the 2020 Leadership in Law honorees.

Leadership in Law recognizes lawyers and judges in Maryland whose dedication to their profession and communities is outstanding. Forty legal professionals will be honored, including four who will be named Lifetime Achievement winners for outstanding contributions throughout their legal careers and 11 up-and-coming attorneys who will be recognized as Generation J.D. winners.

The top winner of this year’s awards class will be voted on by this year’s honorees and will be announced at the celebration event on May 21.

Nominations for the awards were received from Daily Record readers, area law firms, bar associations, chambers of commerce, and the business and legal communities. Nominees completed an application that outlined their career accomplishments, community involvement and mentoring activities. Winners were selected by a panel of legal and business leaders.

“The 2020 Leadership in Law honorees are exceptional in the work they do professionally as well as through community service and mentoring,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record. “They are to be commended for their commitment to the legal profession and for the leadership they demonstrate in the community. The Daily Record is pleased to honor them.”

The honorees will be celebrated with a dinner and an awards ceremony on Thursday, May 21, at the BWI Hilton. They will also be profiled in a special section that will be inserted into the May 22 issue of The Daily Record and will be available online at www.TheDailyRecord.com.
