Livanta secures partnerships for Medicare help hotline

A contractor based in Annapolis Junction is partnering with 2-1-1 help line agencies in its service areas to make sure Medicare beneficiaries and caregivers are referred to its own helpline that it operates as part of a contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Livanta LLC has coordinated the referral to its LivantaCares Medicare Helpline with the 2-1-1 agencies of Missouri, Nevada and Pennsylvania, as well as nearly half of Illinois counties and six counties in western New York. The company is also working to secure referrals from 2-1-1 agencies in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Iowa, Minnesota, and Nebraska.

Medicare beneficiaries, or anyone caring for them, who are referred to LivantaCares can get help to resolve a healthcare quality concern or to appeal a notice of discharge or discontinuation of services from a hospital or other medical provider.

The company works on behalf of Medicare beneficiaries through a contract with CMS as a beneficiary and family centered care quality improvement organization, and serves 27 states and territories.
