Business Portraits

Heather D’Jangali

Chief Financial Officer
Interstate Service Company Inc.

What do you consider your most significant professional accomplishment?
I would say my most signifi cant accomplishment was carving out my own destiny through the diversity of my business portfolio consisting of four completely different industries. Entering a male-dominated industry in 1996, overcoming obstacles as I worked my way up through the company, I was able to gain the respect from male counterparts, ultimately then leading me to mentor other women in the mechanical contracting industry.

Please share your commitment to mentoring and the impact it has had on your life.
I take a personal interest in mentoring young women and men to overcome obstacles and ultimately turn them into opportunities. I am particularly passionate about teaching young people how to repair, establish, increase and maintain their creditworthiness in order to seek their own independence and buy their own home
