Gastroenterologist Dr. Elinor Zhou is joining The Melissa L. Posner Institute for Digestive Health and Liver Disease at Mercy Medical Center.
She specialists in general digestive disorders including colon cancer screening and prevention, GERD, dyspepsia, altered bowel habits, and abdominal pain.
Zhou earned her medical degree from Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Yale University school of medicine.
board certified in internal Medicine and board eligible in Gastroenterology, Zhou completed her gastroenterology fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. She has many honors to her credit, including serving as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Scholar.
Zhou has worked in health care in various international settings, including in Europe, Asia, Central America and Africa.
