Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking
Bank of America

What do you consider your most significant professional accomplishment?
I was the youngest female in company history in a visible leadership role at the ripe old age of 27, running a region of consumer bankers in the early 1990s at a time when women simply weren’t as visible in these positions, particularly at this regional bank with an all-male board. It was progressive for the time and not positively received by all. I worked hard to win that opportunity and I was blessed that I had a boss who believed in me and didn’t see gender — just potential.

Please share your commitment to mentoring and the impact it has had on your life?
I strategically helped recruit several people to various committees while at Habitat for Humanity and delegated increased responsibilities to them to get them ready to assume chair positions on those committees or assume a director role on the board.
