What do you consider your most significant professional accomplishment?
Following my tenure with the Governor’s Workforce Investment Board, it was necessary to pursue my next career opportunity. While performing a traditional job search, I simultaneously began contacting former colleagues with whom I worked and maintained relationships during my career and began inquiring about consulting opportunities. I quickly learned that there was a need for my skills. Normally risk adverse, I abandoned my traditional career search and founded The Reed + Selby Consulting Group LLC.
Please share about your commitment to mentoring and the impact it has had on your life?
Mentoring is a reciprocal gift. I see it as an honor to share my gifts in support of others, particularly young women, as they pursue their life’s goals. However, the intimate conversations from which I always learn, witnessing a young woman or girl thrive in an area in which they previously struggled or realize a long-held dream … those moments represent the reciprocal gifts to me.
