After inviting a 15-year-old girl, to sneak away from her house at around 1:00 a.m. on a school night, appellant Luis Bonilla Rodriguez and his friend Juan Carlos Alvarez Ortiz brought her to Rodriguez’s house, where they served her vodka until her bloodalcohol content was more than double the legal threshold for intoxication. The girl, A.,2 was then forcibly raped in Rodriguez’s bedroom. At around 4:30 a.m., A.’s brother and sister found her in their backyard, unconscious and seriously injured.
