If you had not chosen your current profession, what profession would you choose and why?

Special education teacher. As an adult with autism, I feel youth often do not get the support they need to become successful adults. Good teachers make all the difference.

Favorite vacation:

Visiting family in Texas and eating everything not tied down!

When I want to relax, I … :

Go for a drive in the country with my wife and daughter (getting lost on Route 70).

Favorite book:

“Sulwe” is a children’s book by actress Lupita Nyongo about how a darker-skinned girl learns to love the skin she’s in.

Favorite quotation:

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” — Martin Luther King Jr.
