At a time when health and wellness are a priority for many consumers, Dan Chard aims to lead Medifast by embodying the weight loss company’s core values of integrity, courage, teaming, accountability, empowerment, partnership and diversity through both successful and challenging times.

“One of the most important roles I play as a leader is empowering employees and our independent coaches to align everything we do with our mission: to offer the world lifelong transformation, one healthy habit at a time,” he said. “I believe teams achieve more than individuals. It’s the reason ‘teaming’ is part of Medifast’s core values. Our success as a company is rooted in the hard work and passion of our employees and coaches.”

Before joining Medifast in 2016, Chard served as president and Chief Operating Officer at PartyLite, President of Global Sales & Operations at Nu Skin Enterprises Inc. and President of Nu Skin Europe. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota.

“My vision is to continue growing our coach community and, in turn, be able to help even more people transform their lives, ultimately achieving our mission of offering the world lifelong transformation, one healthy habit at a time,” he said. “This means continuing our international expansion and offering our healthy habits system to those who need a solution to health in their lives.”

Knowing the importance of giving back to local communities, Chard is on the Board of Trustees for Living Classrooms.
