Amy Basta

Assistant Vice President of Marketing

SECU

basta-amyAmy Basta, an expert in digital marketing, was ready for a change when she joined SECU Maryland as its assistant vice president of marketing in January.

“I realized my professional growth had far outweighed my impact in our community,” she said, noting that she can help others through the credit union and its foundation. “Most of my work now is driven by a commitment to serve others.”

Basta led an integrated marketing campaign launching a new SECU financial center in Clarksville that spurred community involvement. As a result of the campaign, 327 pounds of food was collected for the Community Action Council of Howard County food bank.

Basta has built many internal and external relationships and has inspired the marketing team at SECU, said Becky Smith, executive vice president and chief strategy and marketing officer at SECU Maryland.

“She has been the missing link our team has needed for some time as she bridges the strategy and execution teams seamlessly and takes the time to share her expertise with her teammates, all while keeping a great sense of humor,” Smith said.
