American Heart Association

hickam-carolineCaroline Hickam believes we should never remain stagnant but instead always seek growth and positive change.

The Messiah College graduate’s passions are health and the empowerment of girls and women. A Girl Scout Gold Award recipient, she joined Women of the World (WOW) Baltimore last year.

In her professional life, Hickam became the Director of Development for the American Heart Association in May 2019. She had volunteered with the nonprofit for several years being one of the top fundraisers for their annual Jump Rope for Heart campaign before being hired full time.

“I want to continue to meet change-makers and learn from them and be an influential, inspirational and lasting change-maker for the betterment of every community I am a part of and serve,” she said.

In her award nomination letter, co-worker and AMA’s Director of Marketing and Communications Kerry Johnston said Hickam “inspires me daily.”
