Two years after graduating from the University of Maryland School of Medicine with her doctorate in physical therapy, Samantha DuFlo founded Indigo Physiotherapy.
With offices in Baltimore, Ellicott City and Mount Airy, her business specializes in treating women with pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction, postpartum issues and more.
“My greatest professional accomplishment is establishing a practice that prioritizes women’s health throughout their lifespan with a collaborative approach and an empathetic team,” DuFlo said. “This isn’t just about building a successful business; we’re creating a trend in Baltimore and beyond to make women’s health a priority in a new and different way.”
DuFlo considers herself a pioneer in her field.
“There is no one else in Baltimore talking about women’s pelvic health, how to return to exercise and running postpartum, incontinence, prolapse and other issues facing the female-identifying community in the way that I do,” she said. “In being one of the first to bridge this gap, I am thrilled to share my expertise with clients, patients, nonprofit organizations, and other practitioners in the health and wellness field.”
