ABOUT MEGAN HUMPHRIES
I’m teleworking from Essex Junction, Vermont. Starting a new job during a pandemic when everyone is working virtually is a challenge, but I’m so lucky to work for a company that has their employees’ health and safety in mind.
B.A. in Communications and Political Science from the State University of New York College at Geneseo.
If you had not chosen marketing as a profession, what profession would you choose and why?
I’d likely be a clinical psychologist mostly due to my fascination with human thoughts, beliefs and behavior. Now I get to explore all these things as a strategic planner and marketer.
My honeymoon in Aruba was my favorite vacation. We went to the beach, claimed a palapa, and relaxed with nothing else to do.
When I want to relax, I … :
Usually I choose something creative – like painting, coloring, or baking. I also enjoy curling up by a fire with a good book and some hot tea.
Favorite book, movies, musician:
This one is tough for me – I love books, movies, and music! For books, I’d have to go with the one I’m reading right now, “Just Mercy,” by Brian Stevenson. For movies, I loved “Say Anything,” “Almost Famous” and the “Star Wars” Saga. My favorite musician of all time is James Taylor.
My favorite quote right now is by Viktor Frankl, “When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”
