Hillman, Brown & Darrow, P.A.
It’s a practice she takes seriously. “I add heart and compassion to family law,” she said.
But ask her about her top professional accomplishment, and she’ll cite the role she played in opening and helping grow GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis, a center that runs therapeutic and educational programs for individuals with Down syndrome.
“I am proud of the change in our adult population and how the Playhouse has greatly bettered their lives,” she said. “Some of our adults rarely had social interactions or typical adult events to go to, and to see the joy on their faces when they come to the Playhouse is truly priceless.”
Brown’s involvement with GiGi’s is part of a long-time dedication to people with Down syndrome that began when she was growing up in Anne Arundel County.
“From middle school through law school, I worked with groups in Anne Arundel County and around the state to volunteer and raise awareness for Down syndrome,” she said. “The GiGi’s participants inspire change and help make the community a better place.”
