She will transition into the role under the mentorship of Linda S. Woolf, who has led the firm since 2005.
Nesbitt has practiced at Goodell DeVries for the entirety of her 20 years at the bar, moving through the ranks from summer associate to partner. She has served on the firm’s executive committee since 2017, chairs two additional internal firm committees, and mentors younger lawyers and other professionals within and outside of the firm.
An experienced litigator, Nesbitt focuses her practice on medical malpractice defense and complex commercial litigation, as well as cases that combine the two fields. She represents health systems in Maryland and the District of Columbia, handling complicated malpractice cases and employment and compliance-related matters within those systems. She also handles employment matters outside of the health care context for employers in the region.
