UMGC, Study.com form college accelerator partnership

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), the nation’s largest online public university, Wednesday announced a new partnership with online and mobile learning platform Study.com LLC to provide a pathway for students to earn a college degree with courses taken through Study.com’s College Accelerator solution and UMGC.

Study.com offers the largest online course catalog of American Council on Education (ACE) recommended courses. The online platform provides a flexible learning experience with short micro-video lessons allowing students to learn at their own pace. In the past year, more than 150,000 college credits have been earned through Study.com.

The partnership offers students a seamless and affordable pathway to transfer course credits earned on Study.com to fulfill degree requirements at UMGC, special tuition pricing for Study.com students transferring to UMGC and the transfer of up to 90 credits from Study.com to UMGC.

UMGC offers more than 90 undergraduate and graduate degree or certificate programs, all available fully online, including award-winning programs in disciplines such as biotechnology, cybersecurity, data analytics, and information technology that are in high demand in today’s increasingly technical, global workplace. Students at UMGC also receive additional cost savings through the university’s use of digital resources, which have replaced costly publisher textbooks in most courses.
