Route One Apparel fulfills 10K Promise to support COVID-affected Baltimore restaurants

Route One Apparel, the College-Park based manufacturer of trendy and affordable Maryland pride apparel and accessories, has fulfilled its “10K Promise” to contribute $10,000 to Baltimore-area restaurants affected by COVID-19 restrictions.

Since January, Route One Apparel has purchased $1,000 in gift cards from 10 local restaurants whose operations have been affected by Baltimore and/or state restrictions during the pandemic. The gift cards, purchased in $25 increments, were then given away to Route One Apparel’s social media followers to encourage their continued patronage of Baltimore’s local restaurant community. The company also invited other local businesses to sponsor gift card purchases at their favorite restaurants.

The recipients of Route One Apparel’s 10K Promise purchases were Aldo’s Italian Restaurant, sponsored by F45 Training Timonium, Pinch Dumplings, Pierpoint Restaurant, Hull Street Blues Café, Mt. Washington Tavern, Mama’s on the Half Shell, Don’t Know Tavern, Barracuda’s Locust Point Tavern, Pickles Pub and Attman’s Deli, sponsored by Second Chance Addiction Care.

This is just Route One Apparel’s latest effort to support the local community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the past year, the company has also donated hundreds of thousands of masks to frontline workers and small businesses across Maryland and made monetary donations to multiple local non-profit organizations.

Founded by Ali von Paris in 2010 from within her dorm room at University of Maryland, Route One Apparel now offers more than 3,000 unique products and designs for anyone to express their love of their state, city, professional and collegiate sports teams. Available online and at select retailers, Route One Apparel merchandise can be seen sported by local icons and fans of all ages across Maryland.
