There are so many issues we are tackling in the MD General Assembly and in various organizations across Maryland to create change and help people succeed both at work and at home. Share some issues you are passionate about and how our network of women leaders and attendees tonight can make a difference and become advocates for change?
As a small business owner in a very politically active state, public policy affects me greatly.
This is a passionate topic for me because my career journey always involved entrepreneurship – not working for someone else, not going into the corporate world.
I want others to continue to be encouraged to start businesses but when politicians write adverse business policies, WE, the small businesses, are the first to be severely impacted and the first to disappear.
I want our politicians to not view businesses as bad and foster an environment around incentives.
