What about your leadership style has helped grow your career and how have you had to change your leadership role/style during the past year?
My style of leadership is collaborative and is focused on listening and bringing the right people together to innovate, hold each other accountable and create sustainable solutions. Over the past year, I have had to lead with a focus on accountability as well as flexibility and grace. This has allowed my team at NPower to continue being high-performing and dedicated to the mission of changing lives.
Can you share some issues you are passionate about and how our network of women leaders and attendees tonight can make a difference and become advocates for change?
Reports reveal that Black and Latina women only account for 3% and 1%, respectively, in the tech industry. As millions of women of color seek to reenter the workforce we must push hard to open career gateways in tech … It takes a committed collective of leaders from public, private and nonprofit sectors to implement solutions that breakthrough roadblocks and dissolve barriers until we achieve equity on all levels for women of color in tech.
