A jury in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City found Frank Sydnor, the appellant, guilty of second-degree assault of Keona Tate. Mr. Sydnor contends that the circuit court erred in: (1) permitting Ms. Tate to testify concerning the reason she was afraid of him and his family; and (2) not sua sponte precluding the prosecutor from making certain statements during rebuttal closing argument.
