Lisa H.R. Hayes is a senior wealth strategist and senior vice president with PNC Wealth Management.
With more than 30 years of professional experience in the wealth management and estate and tax law industries, Hayes works with a team of specialists in investment management, trust and banking services to provide strategic advice on complex estate and wealth strategy issues.
Lisa earned a bachelor’s degree from Guilford College and both her Juris Doctor and MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is an attorney and a certified public accountant.
An important part of PNC’s relationship-based approach to helping individuals and families manage their personal lives is working in person, Hayes said. So COVID posed a challenge, with the bank quickly moving to a work-from-home environment.
“An unexpected benefit was that virtual meetings offered a glimpse into clients and colleagues’ personal lives, as people opened their homes via their computer screens,” she said.
The pandemic also resulted in large fluctuations in the market that exacerbated financial worries for consumers, Hayes said. “Our clients looked for guidance on mitigating negative impacts.”
That work involved stepping up assistance to businesses in getting loans and working with clients struggling to make monthly payments.
“As part of this effort, PNC developed Low Cash Mode to give clients living paycheck to paycheck the ability to control when bills are paid, to lessen the chance of overdrawing their account, reducing fees and stress,” she said.
