Harford Mutual selected for Novarica Impact Award

Harford Mutual Insurance Group will receive an Impact Award from the Novarica Insurance Technology Research Council, a peer community of hundreds of insurer CIOs.

More than 60 CIO council members reviewed more than 60 case studies in three divisions to select the winners for the 10th annual awards.

Harford Mutual implemented a new policy administration system and built an agent portal integrated with a customer communications management solution in 17 months. The project resulted in 54% straight-through processing and a 100% increase in premium volume.

Harford Mutual’s case study, along with case studies of 11 other winners and more than 50 additional cases considered for Impact Awards, was published this week in Novarica’s 10th annual Impact Case Study Compendium, online at https://novarica.com/impact/. Novarica has published nearly 300 case studies through this program since 2012.

Harford Mutual Insurance Group, founded in 1842, provides commercial property and casualty insurance products and services to a regional market. The company ended 2020 with more than $261 million in direct written premium sold through nearly 500 independent agents in Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
