Criminal procedure — Illegal sentence — No term of probation

James William Branch, Jr. filed a Rule 4-345(a) motion to correct an illegal sentence in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County claiming that his sentence of 20 years’ imprisonment, all but 12 years suspended, for second-degree rape was illegal because the sentencing court had failed to impose a term of probation.
