LAWRENCE SYLVESTER ROGERS v. STATE OF MARYLAND

Criminal law — Sufficiency of evidence — First-degree murder

A jury, sitting in the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, convicted Lawrence Rogers (“Rogers”) of four counts of first-degree murder, one count of attempted first-degree murder, and related offenses. He was sentenced to four consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole, one consecutive life sentence with the possibility of parole, and an additional 115 consecutive years. He filed this appeal contending that the trial court erred on several grounds and seeks to have his convictions reversed.
