Sloane Brown//September 1, 2021
This edition of “Off The Record” kicks off the 2021-22 school year by featuring Darryll Pines, president of the University of Maryland, College Park. He reviews the “interesting” challenges he’s faced in his first year in that role, telling host Sloane Brown how those challenges have actually helped hone some of his goals for the university. As he welcomes students back on campus for the first in-person classes held there in a year, Pines also credits the students with enabling his own continuing learning experience, hearkening back to a favorite saying of his father’s.
