As a partner at Adeo Advocacy, Sophia Silbergard works as an advisor to multiple campaigns across the state. She previously worked with the Greater Baltimore Committee and as COO at Martin-Lauer Associates. She joined Adeo as the director of strategic partnerships in 2019.

Silbergeld says her life-long professional goal is to get Maryland’s first Black governor elected. She is currently working on getting the first female state-level elected official in office in Maryland in 2022.

“Something I love about my job is the opportunity to introduce and encourage collaboration between organizations and individuals working to make change in various communities and stakeholders and leaders who hold the power to allow them to accomplish their goals,” Silbergeld says.

Silbergeld holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago. In her free time, she works with organizations such as the Creative Alliance, WYPR and Pride of Baltimore.

“My drive to do everything not just better but better than anyone else causes me to embrace the need to constantly evolve and learn,” Silbergeld says.
