Criminal procedure — Motion to suppress evidence — Search incident to arrest

This case stems from an interaction between Delonte Sinclair (“Appellant”) and police. Appellant, along with a group of other individuals, was stopped by police after police observed the group in a circle near a set of dice and cash. While police questioned
the group, Appellant admitted that he had “about an ounce [of marijuana].” An officer proceeded to conduct a “pat down” of Appellant, revealing a firearm in Appellant’s waistband. Upon finding the handgun, the officer placed Appellant in handcuffs.
