Gregory “Steve” Proctor Jr. founded the government and private sector advocacy firm G.S. Proctor and Associates Inc. in 1995. Staff provide guidance as well as legislative and administrative representation to clients from a variety of sectors, including local and multinational businesses, higher learning institutions, nonprofit organizations and various levels of government bodies.

Proctor holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from George Washington University. In his role at the lobbying and consulting firm, he manages the Maryland staff and oversees the clients’ government relations and lobbying strategy.

With a passion for giving back, Proctor has given his time to a number of organizations including serving on the boards to a number of organizations including The Foundation School, Junior Achievement, The College of Southern Maryland, the United Way of the National Capital Area, Prince George’s Community College and Bowie State University Board of Visitors. He also has served on a number of professional boards including on the Greater Washington Board of Trade, Old Line Bank and The Greater Prince George’s Business Roundtable.
