A corporate and real estate attorney by training, David Bramble has been a managing partner at MCB Real Estate, a commercial real estate investment firm based in Baltimore, since 2005.

He earned his law degree in 2001 at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

What’s the most important thing you do in your job?

The most important thing I do is attempt to motivate and encourage the amazing team we have here at MCB Real Estate. When I am not doing that, I am busy finding investment opportunities and raising institutional capital for our investment strategies.

Who was our most significant mentor, and what did you learn from that person?

Without a doubt, my parents. They are the first entrepreneurs that I met. They created small businesses that employed many people over the years and provided for our family.

Through watching my parents, I learned firsthand about the value of education, hard work, bouncing back from failure and setbacks, as well as giving back to the community. I still rely on them regularly for advice and inspiration.

If you weren’t in this industry, what would you be doing?

I can tell you what I would love to be doing, if I could do the math: I would love to be an astrophysicist. I am sure my family friends and colleagues are sick of me talking about the James Webb Space Telescope and my theories about the true nature of dark matter.
